Lyrics translation (english)
Sukh dukh jhoothe Happiness and sadness are false
Dhan bhi jhootha Even wealth is false
Jhoothi moh maya Infatuation and illusion are false
Sacha mann ka woh kona jahan True is the corner of the heart

Joh dhan hai mann mein The wealth that is there in my heart
Yeh bhi na jaanu I don’t know even that
Bajne lagi kyun Why is there a music
Sargam si tann mein Playing in my body
Khushiyan hai aangan mein Happiness is there in my courtyard
Chehre pe aayi meri On my face there are
Rangatein gulaal ki Tints of the colour red
Laaga rang joh tera Since I’ve been coloured with you
Hui main kamaal ki I’ve become great
Payo re payo re payo re payo re payo I’ve achieved, I’ve achieved

Prem ratan dhan payo I’ve achieved the jewel called love
Mujhko the ghere Surrounding me
Jitne andhere Was darkness
Ho gaye door sabhi Which has all vanished
Sab sapno ki Of all the dreams
Sab rishton ki Of all the relationships
Paa li hai keemat bhi I’ve even paid the price
Prem ko main samjhi I’ve understood what is love
Kisi ne na ki meri Like no one ever has
Tune joh sambhal ki You took care of me in that way
Laaga rang joh tera Since I’ve been coloured with you
Hui main kamaal ki I’ve become great
